Why Hire a Wedding Planner?

You just got engaged, Congratulations! What now? Where do you begin? You’ve never planned a wedding before and you haven’t been to many weddings to begin with. There are so many details that it’s almost overwhelming! Where and when are you going to find the time to do all of your research and calls?

These questions can be easily answered when you hire a wedding planner. A wedding planner can be a god-send when you work full time or you are a full-time student. A wedding planner can be hired during any part of the wedding planning process. However, it would be a lot of less stressful to hire a wedding planner from the beginning. A wedding planner has already planned many weddings, already knows and works with the best vendors in town, and most importantly, can keep you within your wedding budget.

Once a budget is set in place, the wedding planner will start to get to know who you both are and what your likes and dislikes are. The planner can research venues and vendors for you and schedule all of your appointments. The planner is the liaison between you and the vendor. The planner will help ask questions that you might forget to ask during meetings. Don’t think of the planner as the person who will ‘take over’ your wedding. Think of the planner as merely your guide to help accompany you effortlessly through the planning process.

When the big day arrives, all you have to worry about is walking down the aisle! The planner will have taken care of all of the details beforehand. Most importantly you will have the planner as your ‘right-hand’ person for anything you may need help with on the big day. Know that your planner will be the background person taking care of all the little details so that you and your family and friends can enjoy the best day ever!

How much is piece of mind worth to you on your most important day of your life?

Sonia & Greg's wedding donated by the Gifted Wedding

The bride, Sonia Meneses, had her Cinderella wedding granted by the Gifted Wedding this past weekend on April 9, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza. Melissa Haley of M Haley Designs in created this incredible seating chart for the guests. It was just gorgeous!

I was so excited to have found the very talented Erika Cockerham of O'Fallon. She is such an amazing pianist! She wowed the congregation with her beautiful music for the ceremony and the cocktail hour.Thank you Erika for donating your time, it was very appreciated by all!

Going along with the Cinderella Theme, an ice sculpture was created by Ice Visions to surprise our bride!. It was a perfect addition to the beautiful ballroom.

During the evening, the bride and groom decided to do a dollar dance. I thought this was kind of odd since I did a dollar dance way back when, when I got married back in '96! Anyway, we always want to please our clients so off they went dancing away and collecting their dollars. I must say that what took place afterwards was the coolest thing I've seen in a very long time. After the dollar dances were over, Sonia & Greg took the mic and made an announcement that all the money they just received from the dollar dance was being donated to the Gifted Wedding! What a surprise! They also had one last surprise for us, they presented the Gifted Wedding staff with the following plaque.

What a great night. The evening was even televised on Channel 5 later on that evening. I am proud to be a member of the Gifted Wedding. If there is anyone that is interested in participating or donating to the Gifted Wedding, please let me know and I will get you connected with the proper person in charge. Congratulations to Sonia & Greg!

Beautiful Celebrations is a proud supporter and member of the programming committee for The Gifted Wedding. I was honored to help coordinate the latest wedding which took place on April 9, 2011 at the Crowne Plaze hotel in St. Louis. The Gifted couple were Sonia Meneses & Greg Hendl, who were a military couple and veterans of the Iraq war. It was and honour and pleasure to be able to help them on their special day!

Awesome Backyard Wedding!

This wedding took place in the bride's parent's backyard in Greeley, Colorado. We decided to use the beautiful gazebo that her dad built as the focal point during the ceremony. It was positively beautiful!

 Creative Idea!!

This bride grew her own wheat grass and gently placed her place-cards in the grass. After guests signed the guest book they found their names in the wheat grass arrangement. So creative and cute!

Here's another creative idea, the florist, Ria Erikson of Nature's Grace Design decided to put the left over flowers in the bird bath, turned out gorgeous!

Fun Stuff!

Lighting up sparklers are always a fun thing to do to send off the bride and groom. In this picture we sent the bride & groom down the driveway and into their get away car. Fun way to end a fun day!
